Session: Prepare for the New Normal—IT’s Time to Lead

The COVID-19 Pandemic is a “Black Swan” event, the impact of which will reach far beyond its tragic health consequences.

At each stage of this cycle, IT leaders will need to craft a response. The first stage, Crisis Response, is largely passed as we‘ve enabled work at home, digital service provisioning, and other measures to eliminate work stoppage and foster a safe environment for staff and customers.

The second stage, Emergence, is where we find ourselves today. In this stage, we’re calibrating IT priorities, rationalizing costs, and ensuring the work environment remains stable over the medium term.

The Recovery stage is where we’ll begin to put the genie back in the bottle and return to normal. But what will that “new normal” look like? The way we react to the lessons learned and the post-pandemic regulatory and economic realities will determine how well we survive and thrive in the post-pandemic world.

Changing paradigms for work, dynamic product and service value chains, more self-service options for customers, and greater organizational decentralization are just some of the trends IT leaders need to prepare themselves for, and in this talk we’ll explore some of the practical steps you can take both today and in the immediate future to ensure your success.

Session: 2020 Infrastructure Priorities Report 2.0

The way we build and support infrastructure is changing. There’s always more to do, and if IT leaders are to provide meaningful advice to the business, demonstrate real value, and ascend the ladder to true business partner and innovator status, prioritization is essential.

In the 2020 Infrastructure Priorities Report, Info-Tech’s empirical research reveals what infrastructure leaders are focusing on. Built based on survey research, interviews with members, and secondary market research, this session is essential for anyone looking to understand how shifting priorities are impacting IT managers and practitioners.

A new and expanded version of the report re-evaluates the priorities in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and answers the question: What do you need to do to keep up in this fast-paced, constantly changing environment?
